Savings bonds, such as Series EE and Series I bonds, cannot be "marketed." They cannot be bought and sold after you own them.
Other Treasury securities (without a letter designation like EE or I) can be sold after you buy them. Thus, they are "marketable."
If you are looking for forms for a marketable security - a Treasury Bond, Treasury Bill, Treasury Note, Treasury Inflation-Protected Security (TIPS), or Floating Rate Note (FRN), go to Forms for Treasury marketable securities.
Some forms require a certified signature. If your form says you need that, wait to sign it until you are with the person who will certify your signature. Follow the instructions on the form about having your signature certified. For more about who can certify, see Signature certification.
If a form asks for legal evidence, such as a death certificate, be sure to include it. However, we won't return it. A photocopy is fine if the stamp or seal is legible.
Some forms tell you to send the bonds with the form. Others tell you not to send in the bonds. Follow the instructions on the form.
If you are asking us to pay you for paper savings bonds, send the bonds with the form.
